CNC (computer numerical control) machining is a kind of subtractive manufacturing process, which uses automated, high-speed cutting tools to form designs from metal or plastic blanks. CNC machining processes usually include milling, turning, surface grinding and electrical discharge machining (EDM). CNC machining is used on many common metals such as aluminum, brass, mild and stainless steels, magnesium and titanium. It can also be used on rigid or engineering-grade plastic resins.
The geometric information of the part is provided by a computer-aided design (CAD) model. The skilled machinist operates the final part of the programmed tool path based on the CNC machine tool. CNC machine tools can cut almost any metal alloy and rigid plastic, with high precision and repeatability, making CNC machining parts suitable for almost all industries, including aerospace, medical, robotics, electronics and industry. Hunglik provides quotations for CNC machining of more than 40 materials, from commercial aluminum and acetals to advanced titanium and different kinds of engineering plastics.

Our general tolerances of CNC machining for metals is DIN -2768-1 fine, and for plastics is din -2768-1-medium. Tolerances and dimensions can be greatly influenced by part geometry and material types. We recommend consulting with our experts before starting any project to ensure that the final parts can meet and exceed your expectations.
Because CNC machining can cut a high variety of fully dense, durable materials like P20, Nak80, S136 and H13 steels, it is perfect for creating fixtures or molds.
The range of affordable metal alloys (like aluminum 6061) and plastics (like acetal or ABS) combined with the speed of our skilled machinists makes our CNC service a great option for prototyping.
Performance-enhancing finishes, precision tolerances as low as +/- 0.001”, and certifiable material options make CNC machining an excellent technology for end-use parts.
Let us put our extensive experience in design, engineering and manufacturing to work for you.
